Publisher Marketing: There's nothing like coming home late at night, tired from a frustrating day's work, to find a python in your bed. Luckily for Patty, it wasn't alive. This time. Patty never should've taken the case: her new client had been lying from the moment he stepped inside Patty's office, and she new better to take a case when she couldn't trust the man she works for. By all accounts Peter Chapman was a great guy, loved by everyone who knew him. But he surrounded himself with strange people, and all of them were hiding something. The high-dollar developer, Charlie Booker, humiliates Patty publicly, putting her hard-won career in jeopardy. It doesn't help that Patty's own parents had been lying to her for years, or that the handsome CPA next door, someone she finds herself falling for, has his own share of secrets. Even Madame Glenda, the young psychic whose insights are a little too canny, refuses to provide information that could help Patty find the killer. Instead, she insists on warning Patty of the danger to her own life, as if the python wasn't enough to show her the case was personal. When Peter turns up brutally murdered, and the threats turn from shocking to deadly, Patty has to find the killer before he kills her, or worse, someone she loves. But who can she trust? And who is the biggest liar of them all?
