A Tribute to Children is a collection of poems that encourage parents to focus on their children and encourages children to succeed by realizing their worth. The book's reflection on the warfare against children is intended to guide teachers and parents to a better understanding of how we can instill pride within youth. Children need to feel accepted and know that they are admired. The way that we treat children today will influence our society in years to come. We should be honest with kids. Tell them when they are wrong; teach them what is acceptable; when we fail to correct them and expose unacceptable acts, they don't learn about consequences. We must keep the bar high; give them something to work toward; let them miss the goal the first time; teach them to persevere until the task is completed. Children have potential that we never allow them to explore. The biggest obstacle we face, teaching struggling learners, is the fact that we set the bar so low they trip over it. We assume they are not capable of certain tak. We should set the bar high enough that students will have to soar to reach it; believe in them. Guide them to the goal and they will excel. This book is an outcry to enhance awareness of the warfare we face in saving the next generations of youth. Children, our most precious resource for the future: we honor you.
