Gringo Parade is a novella about a group of wealthy American missionaries who take a trip to a very poor village in Costa Rica. One of the group's members is Nick, an eighteen year old boy who has his own agenda and plenty of observations about the work the group is doing. He finds plenty of adventure and trouble along the way, with the bellicose leader of the group being a constant thorn in his side.
