HOLLEY BLUE AGATE. Some things in this world just have to be seen once to be appreciated. Holley Blue Agate is one of those special things. Holley Blue Agate is also one of those things which can speak for itself ... or in this case, write for itself. Words pale into insignificance compared to the color and glow of this natural stone. I have followed one standard practice which has been used for generations to give you an idea of the potential beauty of Holley Blue Agate: lapidary artists will often wet different stones and rocks with water ... to give a better visual approximation of what the stone could look like if it is ground smooth and polished. The wet stone reveals many details of the colors which can tend to be hidden in the dry condition. So, I have presented several of the different samples shown in this collection in their dry condition and then in a water-wetted condition, with the same lighting and approximate position. No other manipulation of the images has been performed. Enjoy.
