Indeed, Christ is rich. A remarkable thing about him and his wealth is that he does not hoard it all for himself. He is a generous God. He gives and his giving exceeds all that we could ever ask. Like the oil that ran down Aaron's head, face, beard, and clothes, Christ's riches overflow and run onto us anointing and blessing us for service (Ps. 133:2). We, who are at the feet of Jesus groveling in the dust, benefit from his grace and mercy. They soak us, we are saturated by Christ. Oh, Christ is rich, but as we will discover, our treasure is Christ. He is our prize; our inheritance. The Unsearchable Riches of Christ will focus on the person of Christ. The outline is simple. Chapter one will prove the deity of Christ. Chapter two will focus on his humanity. The third chapter will explore the Old Testament in order to reveal Christ. He is there, and the reader does not have to look far or dig very deep. We will see him in the ceremonies of Israel, several prophecies, and pre-incarnate visits. Chapter four concentrates on Christ in the New Testament. The purpose is to highlight Christ as a teacher/preacher and minister which will in turn reveal his doctrine, wisdom, practicality of his message, and his compassion as a servant. The fifth chapter will instruct the reader on the names and attributes of Christ in the New Testament. This revealing study will prove helpful and sanctifying. His names and characteristics are a diamond mine. A conclusion and practical application comprise the final chapter. A study guide is also included.
