Captain Mark and his crew are found disoriented wandering outside Marianna Chemical Company's complex were they work. Their mental state could lead to institutionalize. But in desperation, Mark's mother, Colonel Winters, the Marianna military liaison, "blackmails" Dr. K. C. Scot, a young self-help paperback writer, to help.
