Kylie and David go with their parents to see the Helicopter Museum at an old airport at Weston super Mare in England. They leave their parents in the teashop and explore. Soon they meet Danny who is their age but wears a real pilot's sheepskin jacket, and can work the Simulator. Danny can make this work as a sort of time-machine, and he takes them over the seaside beach to the aircraft factory. It is 1943, in the middle of the War when the factory built 3,336 Beaufighters. Danny has to leave them for a bit, so he gives them a password to get back to the 21st century, but they get it wrong, and land in a different part of history when it was a helicopter factory; Danny reappears and gets them back to their own time, but they are still in the old factory which has now become a race-track for cars, and how will they get back to their parents who are miles away? Surely Danny hasn't abandoned them...
