In July 2008, I learned that I had lung cancer. Instantly, my world changed. Cancer?s intimidating stigma annihilated my faith and devastated my family. Without faith, fear consumed my emotions with an inextinguishable fire and my struggle began. However, Jesus promised that I did not walk alone in this arena called life. When I became faithless, God remained faithful. The Holy Spirit relentlessly inspired me to trust in Jesus. He strove to equip my hands for the battle before me and guided me every step of the way. He did not take me from the fight but taught me how to fight the good fight of faith and prevail. This book tells my story. An extraordinary God healed an ordinary man. His patient love refreshed my thirsty soul, while His strength fortified my weakened spirit. When I collapsed in front of Him, He caught my battered body and stood me to my wobbly feet. Then He said, ?Your life has not ended. It has only just begun.? So, I turned and faced the champion of Mortis and prepared myself for a battle to the death.
