Bradley Parsons and India Foster meet in a small town up north in Michigan during their senior years in high school. Bradley, an only child, grew up in Royal Oak. India is true Atlanta, easily lovable for her Southern manner and accent; and recognized for her brightness, talents, academic achievements, and her striking prettiness. They soon come to believe they?re committed to each other for all their days. But the darkness of her childhood confronts them again and again, each time threatening the vision they have of life together.
