It is in this spirit that many of the prayers in this book were written. God is both near and far. God is as close as our breath and as far as the stars or even beyond. God's relationship with us invites honest dialogue. Form and vocabulary are not as important as being real, owning the positives and negatives of our human condition, and yearning for a deep connection with our triune God. There is space under each printed prayer for you to make notes, jot down a word or two, or even doodle or sketch. I encourage you to use this space for whatever comes to your mind or spirit.
