A mother bear sews a Teddyman doll for her new cub, Barry. Barry and his Teddyman share all of their childhood experiences and adventures. But when Barry is grown up he leaves his toy behind. The Teddyman is sold in the family's lawn sale leaving him sad and alone and frightened. But his new life begins and he discovers his value to others. He finally retires to live out his days in the Museum of Modern Art where all bears can come and visit him. This is a story about sharing, growing up, abandonment, renewal, and happy endings.
