Aaron believes that the American Under Secretary of State, Robert Adams, has the power to arrange the numbers needed to turn their current stance around and see them sign up to the Oslo treaty on the banning of land mines. 'We will get inside his computers and pull his personal security apart thread by thread, ' said Aaron. 'And when the time is right, we will make him an offer he can't refuse; good old fashioned 'standover tactics, ' It's that simple.' In a plot that spans four continents and includes sex, treachery, lies, and murder, nothing is going to be simple.
