Connie has a brief affair with Mike a loan consultant from Grand Cayman. He returns home only to be pulled out of the bay. His face torn off by a yacht's propeller. Connie is left pregnant. As a treat for her daughter Michelle's 17th birthday Connie takes her to Spain. There she spies who she believes is Mike. He doesn't recognise her because she has had dental surgery to alter her protruding teeth and laser eye treatment so she doesn't wear her black framed bottle bottom lenses.
