Manila Gold
James O'callaghan
Set in the historical period WWII yet totally fictional in characters and events. Every generation, it seems, produces head cases like Stalin and Hitler. A lesser known evil character was Malaki Mako. This bad guy claimed to be Muslim but was purely using the mosques, imams, and faith as a vehicle to pursue his evil objectives of global domination. Initially, he intended on securing the Philippine Treasury, "Manila Gold" to fund his program. The protagonist in attempting to elude the FBI finds himself trapped seemingly in a flooded slot canyon. Or is he?
