It first began begin raped as a child by several family members and friends: this false display of love led to her own complicated views of sex and love, anger tendencies that escalated to violence and even an attempted suicide. Besides suffering child abuse, Nicci also endured being cheated on in marriage, which intensified her usage of drugs and alcohol to cope.
