This is no armchair general or Monday morning quarterback to expose the Gold Rush myth. I was there. Rode, ate, worked (a little) side by side with the cast members of the widely acclaimed and groundbreaking Discovery television reality show. A real gold strike for the Discovery Channel in its inaugural season, it was followed by more scintillating seasons which included new cast members working on different claims. I am restricting my discussions exclusively with those I associated with: Todd Hoffman's original group - Greg, James, Jim, Chris, Dave, Jack and Todd himself, of course. It is hoped that by sharing with you some of the most intimate and behind the scenes shots of what actually took place will reveal to you what reality is and is not. You be the judge.
