A hospice nurse exposes a sociopathic physician. She treats his patients and manages their pain. The doctor is protected by the legalized wall of secrecy that exists in hospitals. The hospital, in turn, receives protection from the community that it has served for a century.   The nurse's husband urges her to let the system handle the problem and accept reality. He has fought his own battles and lost, but she doesn't want his advice nor will she accept his protection.   Her battle to break down established barriers results in threats to her family. She has one daughter surviving in Seattle's drug underground and another in an Afghan medical clinic. Both young women  are surrounded by violence and they are vulnerable. Social media can target anyone, regardless of where they live on the earth.  The physician is finally brought to trial for the murder of one of his patients. Successful prosecution hinges on new technology, a virtual autopsy.  The defense, unable to challenge the science, humiliates its developer, an Aspergian recluse.
