Many people might think that this recipe book is a strange place to include a few stories about my illness (Mixed dementia with Alzheimer?s) but as you will soon see by reading through the book Baking was one of the loves of my life and I was devastated when I was first diagnosed with Mixed Dementia back in 2005 as it meant I had to all but give up my profession and our Bakery shop that I had started up in our village in Indonesia due to forgetting my recipes, mixing procedures, and I would even forget when products were baking in the oven, but I was determined that this illness wasn?t going to rob me of all of my past career and still do all my own baking at home and now like to put some of my many recipes down onto paper here in this recipe book for the benefit of other people who enjoy baking.
