Here's a typical one: Undaunted by sound advice to the contrary, three young lawyers decide to go out on an outing with a leaky sailboat. Much to their collective surprise, a strong wind comes up and capsizes their boat, flinging them into the sea. Almost immediately they are surrounded by man-eating sharks, who warily eye the frightened attorneys, thrash about, sniff the air and then, abruptly, swim away, leaving the lawyers exhausted but relieved. LAW SCHOOL FOLLIES is a series of fact-based stories meant to poke fun at the sometimes bizarre circumstances that surround lawyers and legal education, including: prickly law faculty, eccentric behavior, absent-minded profs, nervous and unpredictable students, overbearing parents and sponsors, conniving administrators, false alarms and surprise visitors. The purpose of the book is to show that no profession has a corner on the market of reasonable behavior, especially under stress. Of course, the names have been changed to protect the guilty. Enjoy.
