Publisher Marketing: Our Earth faces a threat greater than anything any one could ever dream; a black hole in space. This giant black hole in space has swallowed the planet Pluto and its five moons, as well as Neptune and Saturn and those planets and moons closest to it. In eight months, maybe less, the earth will be pulled into the black hole and destroyed. However, NASA Mission Control Space Center in Houston headed by Director Dr. Paul Jones will launch a missile with an anti-matter payload to be delivered into the black hole to attempt to destroy it. If the missile fails to destroy the black hole, another option will be implemented but will only save a small number of the worlds' population. SETI is involved in the search for intelligent life, and the Director of SETI is Professor Samuel Stone. Before discovering the black hole in space, Professor Stone received a binary message from a region of space called the Kepler region. This message contained a warning about the black hole and the coordinates to the Kepler region, which was believed was an invitation to the people of the Earth to escape the black hole and come to Kepler. NASA originally produced five ships capable for deep space voyages which includes suspended animation pods. The lead space ship is called Kepler One. There are also four other ships called the Argo, Endurance, Ulysses and Explorer. Each ship holds up to five thousand people which means that some would be left behind based on selection criteria such as age and education level. Those who would be been selected would receive a letter from NASA telling them when and where to report. Those selected would be shuttled to the ships already in space by space planes with docking capability. All ships have hydroponics, water and the frozen DNA of all animals and plants from the earth, dry foods as well as suspended animation pods for deep space flight. The ships will follow the coordinates sent to Earth from the Kepler region to escape the black hole and hopefully start a new life on a distant world far, far away.
