Tackling French The Easy Way William Jiang
Tackling French The Easy Way
William Jiang
I started learning French relatively late in life: at 38 years of age. Now, at 40, I love reading the French Newspaper, Le Monde, which is analogous to the New York Times in terms of prestige and skillful journalism. To put it conservatively, the French worldview is radically different from that of CNN and Fox News. To be able to see both French and American views on the world and culture gives me a more global perspective. Here, I present the "core" knowledge necessary for basic mastery of French conversation, as seen from a more mature, Northern American learner's perspective. Being a heavily wired former Chief Librarian affiliated with Columbia University helped me write this book in terms of finding and presenting amazing free and low-cost online resources which, in sum, produce better language-learning results than Rosetta Stone, at a much more agreeable price.
