This is Barbara Fahey's illustrated verse story of a baby whale who goes out at night from her bed and to visit the night excitement and misbehave. She does that and more, but in her adventure she doesn't realize the tide change and gets stuck in the mud and gets beached on the shore. There she meets and wakes up a snail who was asleep in his snail shell. The snail helps her get home for a happy ending. This story was a prize winner among entries from Canada and twenty U. S. states in a Seven Hills Annual Writing Contest. Baby Bubbles has been read to young children in school classes where the children expressed their enjoyment of the story in overwhelming praise and delight.
