Lorelei is a lovely and charming fifteen year old, but she has had a difficult life. Her mother and her father are in prison and she has been a ward of Child Protective Services since she was eleven. She has been placed in four foster homes but none of them have worked out. She was sexually molested in each home she was placed. Her case is transferred to a different Social worker who read the file and became alarmed. She wanted to do something to help Lori, if anything could be done at this time. The social worker seeks the help of her best friend who happens to be a social work cop. He is also a free and happy, just barely civilized biker, and just loves to make the lives of bad guys miserable. Unexpectedly, others begin to get interested in lovely Lorelei; an attorney, a private detective, and someone claiming to be Lori's grandmother. Now the social worker is both alarmed and confused. Her biker boy toy is beginning to make some progress with the investigation when he is charged with murder. Some man from Sonora, Mexico was found shot in an alley. What happens next brings in local bikers, local drug sellers, regional drug traffickers, more attorneys and the news media. It looks like the national police agencies of the United States and Mexico may become involved. An international drug war may be on the horizon. And guess what; loveable Lorelei seems to be the pivot around which this crazy carousel of dysfunction, disaster and crime is revolving.
