Publisher Marketing: The goal of this study is to give a biblical exposition on the subject of tithing. Are we bound as Christians to pay tithes as a command from God? According to many in the evangelical Christian community, tithing is considered a command for the Church (body of Christ) to faithfully observe. My purpose for calling this subject into question is to prove that tithing has been taught with a misapplied, misallocated, and with an artfully misleading interpretation. My exposition is a quest for doctrinal purity concerning tithing and to disclose a grievous and burdensome departure from biblical truth, a departure that has caused many Christians to fell guilt, condemnation, oppression, economic depression, and that they are thieves under a curse from God. For example, Malachi 3:8-9 has been heralded from the pulpit in order to influence Christians to "pay their tithes" otherwise God is going to curse them with a curse. This in my view is one of the worse cases of theological eisegesis that has ever plagued the Church, nothing short of a spiritual scare tactic, in order to administer "tithe tyranny" on the people of God. This book," Unmasking Traditional Untruths about Tithing" does not follow that tradition. As the title suggest this books exposition will examine the Holy Scripture so that the truth of God's word will unmask the traditional pseudologia. In His service BJS. Soli Deo Gloria.
