Publisher Marketing: Dorothy, Toto, the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion are in Dorothy's quarters talking about old times. It is a non-eventful fall afternoon. Suddenly there is a knock on the door. It is a palace page. The page informs them that their presence is required by Ozma in the throne room. The five of them wonder about what could Ozma want. Have they done something wrong? They follow the page to the throne room. Ozma informs them that all the symbols of the holidays have disappeared along with Santa Clause and the Wizard. Dorothy suggests Ozma use her Magic Picture to find the Wizard and Santa Clause. When she does this the Picture shows a large Christmas tree in a clearing with a toy train running around it and some nutcrackers. No one knows what this means. Dorothy and her friends set out to find that clearing. They have some trouble in locating it. When they finally get to the clearing they can't find Santa or the Wizard. What they do found is many, many nutcrackers. While looking over the many nutcrackers, they discover one that looks like the Wizard! There is another nutcracker that looks like Santa. Where is the Wizard and Santa Clause? While they are discussing the problem a wicked witch comes up behind them. What will the witch do? Will they be able to solve the mystery? Can the holiday celebrations be saved?
