America is a warrior nation, a country with the corrupt influence of the powerful military complex. America is a country in financial crisis, both fiscal and monetary; a country on the verge of formal default. The American public must raise their awareness of the dangers of militarism and war being pursued by Washington. As America embraced militarism, endless little wars were conducted in Somalia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Pakistan - all since the end of the Cold War. According to the author, the U. S. military-industrial complex promotes international tension and perpetual war. The informal coalition of the military and defense industry is against peace, as peace is against their interests. Only war will provide the justification for the continuous increase in defense spending. As a result, America is not only overstretched manpower-wise, but financially as well. She is on her way to bankruptcy due to this waging of endless wars. Aside from waging wars, America exercises hegemony over the world by dominating in finance. However, in order to achieve a smooth transition from the world emphasis on production to that of finance, a new global architecture that allowed free capital flow is required. Thus, financial liberalization, free trade and globalization have been the U. S. agenda promoted by U. S. Treasury officials and diplomats all over the world.
