Loose Ends
Garry John Stockdale
Starting in November 1963, on the Friday before Thanksgiving and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, a young girl goes missing in a quiet suburban neighborhood in Mission Hills, Ca., and is never seen or heard from again. The tragedy repeats itself on the last Friday before Thanksgiving for the next four years. A schizophrenic psychopath named Clever Berkuss is arrested for the kidnappings, but the question remains, is he the one responsible, or is somebody else, or others to blame? Reporter David Vigil, and Det. Russell Paint take a trip down the rabbit hole into a world where child abuse is unexceptional, and the truth is unforgivable.
