This is a summary of the comprehensive conservation plan for the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge in Jackson County, Colorado. This plan, approved in 2004, will guide management of the refuge for the next 15 years. The purpose of the plan is to: 1-provide a clear statement of desired conditions; 2-provide guidance for management decisions; 3-ensure management is consistent with laws, policies, and plans; 4-provide an opportunity for the public to help shape the future of the refuge; 5-provide a clear understanding of management actions and priorities; and 6-provide a sound basis for budget requests.
