Christmas in the Village
Joyce Kuergeleis
After ending a long relationship with a good man and then losing a close family member, Em, the ?city girl? seeks serenity and solitude in a small village. She heads to Greenburg, in the southern part of the state, for a little ?R and R? and to complete her manuscript by the deadline. The first person she encounters, even before she arrives in Greenburg, is Brad and their friendship begins, and quickly blossoms into a romance. But all too soon Em meets Allison, Brad?s ex-girl friend, who declares that Brad is hers and for Em to leave him alone. That is all the convincing Em needed and she decides to bow out, because in Em?s opinion, Allison is a scary person. But Brad convinces her to savor the moment and not worry about Allison. Meanwhile, Mindy and Justin, Em?s next-door neighbors, in Greenburg, take her under their wing and introduce her to Greenburg?s charming Christmas traditions. Em is enchanted by the village and its friendly, down to earth residents.
