What is it all about he thinks? Is it imaginary or is it real? Tom has been bothered lately though he has not said anything to anyone at all, but he is seeing visions of white clouds and a damp mist that seems to envelope a beautiful woman in black who suddenly has been appearing to him. She is not seen by others but he sees her clearly, this bothers him, as she is so clear to him. He then finds himself with thoughts of seducing every woman he meets, then he finds later those same woman have been murdered. The story revolves around these apparitions he is seeing and what it does to his life, as well as the four murders asssociated with his crimes. He is suspected of the crimes, since his personality has changed so much, and so recently. The lab tests he takes finds a large amount of a poison in his blood along with some abnormal genetic mutation, it appears this is the causative agent for the change in his personality. The poison in his system has caused this change in the mild mannered farmer however he was exposed to it in his cultivating his farm land, Tom was a great user of a certain fertilizer, and he became toxic and poisoned as a result. He is spending the rest of his days on earth in a psychiatric hospital.
