Just Purrrfect: a Parable About a Cat Named Jesus Bernie Coomes

Many of modern human beings have a sense that something is missing in their lives. This offering is an attempt to fill that spiritual void in a humorous and irreverent manner, so that especially the secular reader can connect with his or her spirituality without the trappings of religion. This is accomplished by having my cat, Jesus, as the guide to enlightenment. A cat is much less imposing than a minister, rabbi or yogi. Plus, animals naturally draw out of us our better nature. That better nature, or mindfulness, is the secret to living a divine lifestyle in the midst of our fast-paced modern world that often seems driven by fear and/or loss of meaning.
