Peter Barrow lived a life of seclusion in the northernmost reaches of Brigard, quietly working on his clocks. His was a profession both feared and admired by the villagers, for the clocks promised power beyond mortal means. That is, all but one mysterious pocket watch. On one fateful night, Peter met Nolan Levinson, a soldier wanted for desertion. Promising to uncover the truth about the disappearance of Peter's father, he dragged the Clocksmith off to the city of Valor. There, they found more than either had expected.
