The U. S. Army trained him to be a combatant, and the seminary trained him to be a priest. Sooner or later the two would be in conflict. This fictitious tale follows Mike O'Malley from the halls of high school to the hills of South Korea, as he discovered possibilities of growth and purpose for his life. His bravery was meritorious. The University of Portland honed his understanding and talent, until a crisis in the parish deepened his faith. As a priest, his leadership was outstanding. But on a dark night in an abandoned barn, an unexpected discovery brought him face to face with an ethical dilemma that none of his training could prepare him to solve.
