Her first book, BARREN MOTHER, chronicled several years of raising foster children. Her most recent book, I'LL NEVER TELL relays stories from her past and outlines a procedure whereby readers can document their own life history in story form. Joanne attended San Francisco Theological Seminary, studying Human Values. "I cannot interpret Hebrew or Greek," she says. "nor can I quote eloquent Biblical philosophy; but I can bring truth from Scripture into our every-day, ordinary life experiences." She served as a chaplain for both hospice and hospital care.
