Louise and Dylan Strong, along with their new friend, Bobby Nicholson wanted to help their uncle, the Chief of Police, solve a murder that happened in their small, southern community. After finding out that reward money was being offered, they decided to start hunting for clues but did not realize the dangers they would face or who might be watching their every move. Without realizing they had stumbled onto key pieces of evidence, Louise, Dylan and Bobby agreed not to share what they had discovered with anyone except their circle of friends and older sister, Carol. However, in deciding to keep these clues from the police and their parents, it placed the entire Strong family and their friends in grave danger.
