Windows is the second story in an on-going serial novel titled The Glass Houses (inspired by Claudio Sanchez's The Amory Wars). The first story "Boxes" is available separately. There is also a compilation of the first two stories entitled "The Clairvoyant Nature of Glass," being the first novel in the series. Windows: A man trades one cell for another. . . . The first was underground, guarded by a race of robots named Box Men and the dying computer construct controlling them. By chance alone, he escaped. That small box, that cell, was the only home he had ever known. To the prisoner's horror, the pod he had taken to make his escape meets sudden disaster, forced into an emergency landing back on Earth. . . . On the moon there is a colony of humans waiting for him. Another box is also waiting. And freedom remains a thing of his dreams.
