Einstein Esegbue presents Qurim, a short fantasy novel that reads like a thriller. Daura, the capital of the Kingdom of Bali is agog with festivities. King Bashir is about to give his only daughter, Raheemah out for marriage and in line with tradition, a bloody combat must be arranged to choose the husband. Elsewhere, a young woman has just committed suicide for no apparent reason. Among the few people to connect the two events is Merkel, a wizard and historian. Merkel sees opportunity and he chooses Umar, an unsuspecting soldier to carry out his plan. Umar would enter the ring and kick start a plan that would change the world. But other wizards are watching.
