Publisher Marketing: The book Making a Killing is inspired upon recent events in the banking and criminal world. The story is told by the main character "Stefanu Gianca" and some other key fictive characters. Stefanu Gianca is a Rumanian born orphan who has a rather unusual education. Due to his high IQ, he had been selected to get extra schooling at the local monastery during his high school year vacations. The special schooling revolves around philosophy, criminology, economics and sex. During his stays at the Monastery, he becomes the favored lover of the abbess and the sisters in the monastery. In reality however all this training is a preparation to become the head of the IFA (the International Fraud agency). The IFA agency is specialized in blackmailing white collar criminals, politicians and large organizations. The occasional murder is necessary to increase the profit margins. The IFA agency has very specific recruitment requirements. The agency looks for strong achievers with international backgrounds - preferably orphans and left handed- that have been split from their twin brother or sister at a young age. A bit of a modern Robin Hood mentality does not hurt either. Most characters in the story live in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Rumania and Russia. The IFA hooks up with a crooked French Banker and the ultimate Russian mafia boss. In parallel, the story also follows the adventures of the Belgian bisexual widow of a Belgian banker, who gets murdered by the IFA and a Belgian journalist who gets burned as he gets too close to the fire. The plot allows the author to give his vision on the corrupt banking world and its related criminal circuit. The book slowly brings the IFA and the Russian mob together, as they plot against China for a variety of good reasons.
