The Marfa Lights and Other Stories

This collection of sixteen short stories begins with The Marfa Lights, a story about a 14-year-old boy, wheelchair bound from cerebral palsy and isolated by his father. One morning he wakes up to learn his father has been killed by a drunk driver. In the weeks that follow, the boy discovers his father built a wall of lies about his life and family. He sets out to find the truth and re-claim a family he didn't know he had. The remaining stories range from Untitled, a post-apocalyptic love story told in rhyme, to When Enough is Enough, a humorous take on the effect lactose intolerance has on the pizza-loving narrator.
