Written with an orthodox understanding of the Christian faith, this book seeks to strike a balance between a devotion to the fundamentals of the Faith as received in the Anglican tradition, and, on the other hand, to the need of honest inquiry leading to a deeper understanding so that one may make their faith relevant to a post modern society. The "Via Media" of the Anglican tradition is held up to be the context in which this balance can be found, maintained and celebrated in all its beauty and depth of insight. The author explores the important issues of the Faith, such as living in one's God given image, embracing one's mortality and the wonder of grace, and discovering a practical means of manifesting the Faith through a lifestyle given over to God. It ends with a consideration of how one can have the conviction of being loved even through the pall of evil and suffering. The author regards this book as being helpful in a general way for those pursuing the Faith, for those interested or inquiring, and for those in Bible Colleges, as well as laypeople in the Church in the course of their ministry. A deliberate attempt has been made to avoid the superficial nature of much of what is written in regard to Christianity. It is hoped that the reader will encounter substance for thought which will lead to a meaningful result in terms of personal growth.
