The setting is the University of San Gordo, a quiet seeming medical school and research institute located in the mythical and legendary city of Bay Area. The central character - Tony Brison - is a new employee of the University Information Technology group. As such, his job takes him to all points on campus; really interesting places. Some places, he may come to regret ever visiting... such as the labs of the Excelsior group. His tormented and obsessive life is about to become far worse than he ever imagined. What terrifying and inhuman research is the Excelsior group up to, and how will it affect the future of Mankind? Will anyone realize the unimagineable significance of Excelsior's truly bizarre research in time to prevent one of the greatest catastrophes ever to happen on Earth?
