G I Goodrich's first published book "Some of the theory of this project is to create a sense of timelessness by fusing prehistoric context, historical inspirations, presence of this modern society, & new vision. That then expands to fuse space into a single point of no gain or loss by being in myriad different places at once, just as metaphor folds space-time to bring into direct contact things that otherwise might be apparently disparate. Where the poems of this book take place can be in the physical world or non-physical worlds of thought or emotion. They are also about the establishment of a world. One way this is done by creating places & situations that continue to exist in a continuity. The poems are each distinct poems but act within a single artistic project with running givens, ongoing conceptuality, & inter-poem communication. They arise from a perpetuation of uncertainty. As is never-ending in the thinking human mind, questions come ? not in the form of questions but of the gaps & gasps of language ? which are not answered at all or as directly or soon as one might immediately desire. In that way, the ongoing feels as urgent as the mind?s need for meaning. They use tropes & puns to wipe away some of the eraser-dust borders & seems of consciousness. They find location within location, action within action, discrepancy within discrepancy. These poems have gone so far into themselves that less than one half of one percent of the writing that went into them is extant here. Poetry is some of the true music of the soul. There is more silence than sound. More will want to explain itself throughout."
