For Love or Freedom
Yadon Santana
Alicia, a Cuban-American was born into a home void of culture. Her parents, who defected from Cuba before she was born, had to give up their entire lives for freedom. They raised their daughter as an American. Only English in the house, meat loaf and apple pie in the oven. She had no connection of where she came or who she was.
When she became a journalist in San Francisco, she found herself in the arms of Ernesto. The lead singer of a Cuban band. Who after his one week visa expired had to go back to Cuba. Alicia, not willing to give up on love so easily followed him. The dream became a reality.
