An abandoned baby is found by an old woman. She doesn't know she is raising a descendant of one of the Lost Tribes of Israel. Sesuj, a young man, goes missing. A journalist attempts to find him. He is said by inhabitants of Trench Town, Jamaica, to be a descendant of a Lost Tribe of Israel described in the Book of Numbers. A Priestess traces Sesuj's roots to the People of Israel arriving from Egypt near the plains of Moab, camped east of the River Jordan. King Balak is stopped by the God of Israel in his plan to eliminate them. One of Balak's ambassadors who is ignorant of Balak?s altered position manages to isolate one of the Tribes camped outside Acacia. He sets fire to this Tribe which does not succumb but becomes stronger for it. Millenia later, Sesuj appears on the doorstep of an old woman in Trench Town, Jamaica, as a baby. She raises him to adulthood during which time he has had a profound effect on the crime-riddled, poverty-stricken ghetto of Trench Town. Is he really a descendant of the Lost Tribe? Does he possess life-giving powers, including the power to read flames? Will he be found? These questions and more take the reader on an emotional and suspense-filled journey in search of the legendary Sesuj.
