Melissa is a girl with a big problem, her mother is very ill. Melissa hates feeling powerless as her mother gets sicker and sicker. It is when her mother tells her yet another story of her late grandmother and the fairies that Melissa sees a ray of hope. For this story is of the healing fairy that lives in the forest surrounding her grandmother's old home in the English countryside. This sets Melissa on a quest from her home in California half-way across the world to England to find this fairy. With the help of her English cousin Colin, Melissa finds an adventure filled with magic, warm hearts and laughter. But will she be able to help her mother?
