Have you ever wondered why the Bible spends so much ink on individuals who were going through extended times of trials and tribulations? Why does God spend so many chapters on their horrific stories? Could He be trying to tell us something about Himself and even us? The contemporary Christian life has sometimes been characterized as a glamorous and exciting life of only answered prayers and prosperity. Serving the Lord is exciting and there are many thrilling moments, but the balance of Scripture paints a picture that can be somewhat different from our modern version of Christianity. This book is in no way meant to discourage those wanting to serve God, but rather is a road map to help serious disciples find their way during God?s seasons of preparation. As the Lord used others to see me through some very dark days, I pray this material will help shine a light on the path of all walking the same road. There is nothing more important or fulfilling than walking in your specific God given call or purpose. Don?t let the journey through the valley of the shadow of death or the demons that live there persuade you to go back. Finally, let me remind all of us that we all have ?The message? to tell the world, and that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But we also each have ?a message? of what God has worked in our lives. We discover our message while studying at Roadkill Seminary. That is why the Bible says in Revelations 12:11. We overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb (that?s the simple Gospel), and the word of our testimony (that?s our story), loving not our lives unto death (that?s Roadkill Seminary). If you have dropped out of God?s School of Ministry, let me remind you, you are still enrolled.
