The Emery family is back 5 years later and their family has grown. Rebecca is still enjoying part-time crime scene photography and working with Chad as well as spending time away at the cottage. When Debbie's friend finds a ring box in the house during renovations it leads to another mystery for Rebecca to solve which brings danger to her new-found friends and she finds herself trying to race against the clock to find answers. Due to a rigged crime scene, all of that almost comes to a standstill as they find themselves waiting to see if one of their loved ones survives.
