A major setback for many young men and women growing up in today?s world is that of a lack of meaningful paternal involvement in their lives. Shockingly, it makes no difference that some of them have Christian fathers. They do not experience the love, affirmation and support of their father because dad is failing to perform his God-given roles such as to train, guide, protect, mentor, inspire, and provide for his children. The father factor is one of the most important elements in helping young people to grow up to become successful individuals and to be strong when confronted with the storms of life. Many children are secretly crying out for the love, compassion, presence, friendship and validation of their father. My book, The Father Every Child Needs, directly and passionately challenges fathers to excel in their fatherhood responsibilities according to the divine manual, the Bible. In my book, I also share Godly principles that, if applied, will help fathers to leave a good legacy of righteousness, rich relationships and resources for their children. The book is divided into fourteen chapters, is very practical in nature and easy to read. It addresses multiple issues including the effects of modern day culture of liberalism on the family, why growing children gravitate to the counsel of their peers and why fathers lose their ability to influence their children?s priorities, principles and performance. This is a book that every father and prospective father should read. Based on feedback obtained during the publishing process, it is suggested that this book could be used for didactic purposes in discussion groups at men?s meetings, family forums and other gatherings.
