This book contains series of lessons for the regular elementary classroom teacher, Kindergarten through Grade 5. Students perform visual art lessons in which they experiment with different types of media, learn about important artists and color theory. Each series, ranging from 8 to 10 lessons, explores the elements of art and contain support materials (grading rubrics, student lesson pages, and artist information) and define art terms related to the lessons. These lessons are easy to teach, complete with objectives, procedures and supplies needed, and are for the regular elementary classroom teacher. California and Nevada visual art standards are addressed in each lesson and are listed by lesson in the back of the book.
