These two short stories start with the Haldane Affair which is a rich tale of love and murder in the English Lakes. The story follows the aftermath of the death of a farmers wife on a remote lakeland farm and the investigations of a top London barrister with a many twists and turns you will be gripped to the final shocking conclusion.

The second story is The Moon Shone on the Cobbles which is a historical muder mystery set at the turn of the 20th century and up to the outbreak of the WW2. It's a tale of muder and mystery in a north Lancashire weaving town and captures the spirit of life in the mills.
